Christmas Celebrations At Little Bird Creative – How To Plan Ahead and Make the Most of the Season

When Do You Put YOUR Decorations UP?!

I have a confession to make.  I am one of those people.

You know the kind: we moan about Christmas adverts in November, yet we start our shopping in October.  We have plenty to say against tinsel adorning supermarket shelves when Halloween is barely over, but the moment December 1st arrives, we’re blasting Mariah Carey and balancing precariously on stools to ensure Christmas lights are twinkling in our homes.  Whilst – of course –  wearing the first of a selection of sparkly jumpers we only break out for one month a year…  Yep, that’s me!

I may have a personal embargo on all things festive before December 1st, but that’s not to say I don’t realise the importance of being prepared.  Indeed, you might share my view that the decorations don’t go up until November is done and dusted, but what about the Christmas things that need to be sorted in advance?

Not everything can be done in the final three and a half weeks before the big day arrives.  Just as you may have already started your shopping or ordered your turkey, festive promotions are often something you need to think about well in advance.

For example, is your quartet, choir or instrumental group looking to put out a Christmas music video, ahead of attracting new members for the year ahead?  You’re going to want to have chosen and rehearsed your song, planned a filming day and ensured you have plenty of time for your masterpiece to be edited!

The same goes for physical promotional materials.  Any events you’re planning will need to be advertised ahead of time, with flyers, brochures and posters appearing well in advance.  If you’re planning to send out – or even sell – bespoke Christmas cards on behalf of your organisation, these need to be designed long before you run out of time to pop them in the post!

Thankfully, here at Little Bird HQ, whilst the tinsel doesn’t appear in the office before December 1st, the planning for Christmas starts early.  Not only does that help our customers to be prepared for the festive season, but it also means that as the big day gets closer, we have space to take on those last-minute projects, too!

So, if you’re looking for graphic design, video content, copywriting or illustration, Little Bird Creative are happy to help.  Christmas may only come once a year, but our passion for what we do lasts long after the final mince pie has been scoffed!  Let us know your organisation’s new year plans and we can help add some sparkle to 2022 and beyond.

Perhaps by the time you read this, your tree will have been up for a couple of weeks.  Maybe you’ve already worn out your Christmas Spotify playlist.  It doesn’t really matter, as long as you and your loved ones have a safe and merry Christmas.
